Name: Lisa Codrington

Short Bio
Lisa Codrington is an actor and writer. She is currently Co-director of Youth Initiatives at Nightwood Theatre where she runs the Write From The Hip and the Emerging Actors Programs. Lisa’s play Cast Iron was nominated for a 2006 Governor General’s Award and Alison Sealy-Smith was nominated for a Dora Award for her performance in the play. Currently Lisa is working on a new play called Refined and a short opera entitled…Ants?. Most recently Lisa performed in Resurgence Theatre Company’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and in ‘da kink in my hair at The Hakney Empire in London, England. Lisa was shortlisted for the 2006 Toronto Arts Council Emerging Artist Award and was the recipient of Ryerson University’s Jack Mc Allister Award. She has a BA in Criminology from the University of Manitoba and a BFA in Acting from Ryerson University.
