Amélie Lefebvre

Short Bio
Amélie, a Toronto-based bilingual artist, has been sprinkling the Canadian music scene with her French melodies since 2003. She released her first album Amélie in 2006 which received four Trille Or Awards (franco-ontarian music) for its production, graphics, for best singer-songwriter and performer. Amélie weaves english and french seamlessly in her chansons, bridging sounds between sassy, old-fashioned cabaret stylings to fresh and uplifting acoustic melodies. She also won the Song From the Heart 2008 competition by the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals for her song Je t’attends. In the theatre world, she graduated from Vancouver’s theatre school Studio 58, received a 2008 Dora award nomination for her work in Et Si On Chantait at Theatre Français de Toronto.
