Erin Shields is an actor and playwright who trained at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London, England. She is a founding member of Groundwater Productions through which she creates, develops and produces much of her work. Erin’s most recent play, If We Were Birds premiered at the Summerworks Festival in 2008 and received the highest distinction: award for Outstanding Production. If We Were Birds will be developed further at Alberta Theatre Projects as part of the Enbridge playRites Festival in 2009. Other creations include Dance of the Red Skirts (Theatre Columbus), Fewer Emergencies (MITCH), The Unfortunate Misadventures of Masha Galinski (Dora Nominated, Uno Festival, FemFest, Groundswell, Groundwater), Goblin Market (Dora Nominated, Groundwater/Belltower), Ubu Roi (Groundwater) and Connect the Dots (Small Wooden Shoe/Buddies). Up next, Erin will perform/collaborate on Dedicated to the Revolutions (Small Wooden Shoe/Buddies).
 Theatre Revolve is a place of energetic discovery, theatrical innovation, unbridled creativity, group belonging, independent expression and fun. The participants are eager to learn and share and take huge risks which makes the project a delight to be a part of.
